Description
This freestanding scratching post is made for cats that enjoy a full stretch while scratching, climbing upwards and using more than just their front paws. It stands on a dedicated tripod base and does not need to be attached to a wall, making it easy to find a place for it in the room.
There are two configurations. One section forms a 50 cm post for a compact space. Two sections form a 1 metre post with more room for stretching, scratching and trying to climb. Each section measures 15 × 15 cm across and 50 cm high.
Nearly the entire post is tightly wrapped in sisal rope. Sisal withstands regular scratching, and every turn is glued individually. If the rope is damaged in one place, this helps keep the rest of the wrapping in place.
The modular design avoids the expense of replacing the entire product. When one part wears out faster than the others, you can buy a replacement section and keep the base and undamaged parts. It is a practical way to use the scratching post for longer.
The tripod feet are adjustable to help level the post on an uneven floor. The structure can be taken apart for storage or transport.
